Streaming audio on board?
Well, here's my situation: I have a Mac and a sound card, can be separated by 40-55 feet (a room presentation of large size). I intend to play a video on the Mac in front of the room, and need to play audio through our sound card. What I need is a solution for streaming audio on the Mac (from 3.5 mm jack or USB) for the sound card, again 40-55 meters. Bluetooth is definitely not an option, given the distance, and there is a wall separating the devices. We had a UHF transmitter / receiver installation, but it's since become obsolete (it receives frequent interference). What is our best option now? WiFi?
Ideal for your situation you use a wireless microphone belt pack connected to a direct box that you connect to your computer and your signal that way but if you can not do that, then I would use a very long 1 / 8 "to 1 / 4" balanced cord running from your computer's sound card.
