Save Your Computer From The Win32K Sys Blue Screen Of Death
You will have fewer issues with a computer that is taken cared of. For individuals that remove programs just by deleting their folders, open unknown emails with attachments and go online without any protection, you should start pay more attention in how you use your computer. The less you abuse your computer the less you’ll experience random error codes and even the dreaded Win32k Sys blue screen also known as the Blue Screen of Death.
If you find yourself cursing at your PC to speed up and from time to time experience screen freezes, it’s time for a spot of cleaning. Usually this just means trying to return it back to its original state as if it were new without having to do a full reinstall. Of course, you could do a full system restore if you’ve had enough of your PC’s performance. Alternatively you can run the Recovery Console and start a repair installation.
Opting to restore your entire PC, gives you the choice to install only the programs you’ll use and not every single one that happens to be lying on your desk. The fewer programs you install the more memory your computer will have. In the majority of cases a good system cleanout is all that’s required. Is your desktop filled inch-to-inch with files and folders? Then it’s a good sign that you’re PC is in need of a little organization.
Don’t just dump files onto your desktop. A few folders on your desktop is fine for files that your use often, but keep it to a bare minimum. Organize files into related folders which fall under top level categories looking like a family tree. Don’t just create a folder called ‘My stuff’ and throw everything into it.
Does your PC take time to start and shut down? If there are there lots of icons in system tray it means that there may be applications running in the background needlessly. Select each application that you don’t want enabled and you should be able to uncheck the Autostart function. Make sure you have essential tools such as antivirus left on.
Have at least one antivirus program installed onto your PC. It’s total madness if you don’t and you’re surfing online. With so many threats online including spyware, adware and viruses, you’re PC’s very likely to pick up something. It’s better to run several antivirus and anti-spyware applications instead of just one. It’s quite a common occurrence for one program to pick up threat and not the other.
If your PC is infected it can cause all sorts of problems including the Atapi Sys blue screen of death. Your computer’s OS can become corrupt and rendered useless from a single threat if not removed. Although the majority of third party programs are safe to download on the Net, be vigilant as there are some that contain malicious code.
You can clean up a bloated registry using a registry cleaner which will often fix a number of problems such as DLL errors, application failures, hardware incompatibilities and even blue screen errors. Make a habit of using a registry tool to cleanup orphaned entries, especially after uninstalling applications.
Applying the maintenance tips above may not get rid of all problems, for example you may need expert advice on how to fix blue screen of death crashes. But be sure to write down the error code as not all blue screens have the same fix. Your computer will benefit a great deal from regular maintenance and cleaning.
