● Wireless LANDevices (WLAN) – Connects to the computer WLANnetworksin enterprises at home and in public places such as airports, restaurants, cafes, hotels and universities.
In a WLAN, each device wirelessly communicates with a wireless access point, which may be located several hundred meters.
● Wireless WANDevices – Provides access to information anytime and anywhere you have a cellulardata coverage. In a WWAN network, each mobile device communicates with a base station of a carrier. The public operators install networks of base stations (similar to the towers for mobile phones) in large geographic areas, ensuring coverage in regions, states and even countries / regions integers.
When you configure a WLAN network at home or access an existing public WLAN network, always activate the security features to protect your network against unauthorized access. The security levels are the most common WiFi Protected Access (WPA)-Personal andWired Equivalent Privacy (WEP).
When configuring a network, always use one or more of the following security measures:

●Change the network name (SSID) and the default password
●Use a firewall
