The Effective Way to Prevent Your Skin from Sun Damage
Though the sunlight is great for skin to get Vitamin D, the strong sunlight can be harmful to your skin as it’s the cause of skin cancer and many other skin problems. It is therefore so much important to protect your skin before going outside, so your skin won’t get damaged but still in a good condition.
1. Apply the sunscreen prior to facing the sun about 30 minutes and it’d be much better to reapply it once every 2 hour. Also always apply the sunscreen after swimming to protect skin from getting damaged.
2. If you are going to join the water activities, do not forget to choose sunscreen with water proof property which can protect your skin from sun damage for 80 minutes, or you may choose the one with water resistant property which can protect your skin for about 40 minutes.
3. Reapply the sunscreen as much as you can and do not ignore the neck and arms as they are also the areas sensitive to sun damage.
4. In case you need to reapply the sunscreen during the day without washing face, it is better to wipe the sweat and oil from your face first. Then use your middle finger gently applying the sunscreen all over facial skin and finish with powdering.
5. Though you have already applied the sunscreen, after facing strong sunlight it is important to drink a lot of water to prevent the dehydration of body and skin. And you should apply After Sun product to relieve the damage from sun. Opt for the one with Vitamin E and Aloe Vera as these ingredients are considered the best treatment for burnt skin. And it’d be better to avoid strong sunlight after this for a while.
6. Separate the products for body, face, and hands as they are claimed to be used for specific areas. What is more important is the manufacturing and expire date. From the date of manufacturing till the purchase date, it should not be over 1 year.
7. If your skin turns to pink or red with the feeling of burn, foment it with the mix of cold water and fresh milk. Do not use ice to foment because it can make the burn get worse. After that, pamper your skin with lotion that contains Aloe Vera and do not use any soap or shower gel this time.
8. But if your skin turns to strong red and becomes wrinkly, you should immediately take a shower and apply the body lotion. Take some aspirin every 4 hour and if there are some blisters occurring, you must see the doctor instantly.
9. During the daytime, you should wear the outfits that are thick enough to protect skin from the sunlight. This includes the sunglasses that can help protect the damage of UV radiation around eyes that are basically prone to sunlight. Also, hands should be protected with gloves as skin in this area can easily get cancer.
