How can I connect my bluetooth printer to my laptop?
I have a HP DV-May 1125 laptop, and I'm sure it's blue-tooth capable. I just got a printer, HP Photosmart C5580 and it comes with the HP bt500 Bluetooth USB 2.0 Wireless Adapter. Now, I tried to connect my laptop, but it will not pick it up, I went to start then printers then add a printer and the Bluetooth setup, wireless, but it will not find it, and the adapter is connected to the printer on and working. So how do I get to communicate with me having to go buy a USB cable? my laptop is Vista and I read the manual or I would not ask this question … thank you a lot!
I'm not familiar with your setup but here are some things you might need to do. Before searching printer you must put the printer in discovery mode. There should be a recessed button to press to the printer. You may need to discover the printer before trying to add it. On your computer, open the Bluetooth controller. This will be an icon in your status bar system or it can be placed under the control panel. With click on the printer to the discovery that the button you need to find new material. Good luck.
