why is it so hard to cancel the sound of wind?
i was reading a review of the jawbone 2 headset and it said that it’s noise cancelling was superb except in windy situations (which baffles all bluetooth headsets). why is that? what is it about wind noise that’s different from all other noise? the jawbone is made with military specifications that blocks helicopter noise and things of that nature, but it can’t block wind? anybody know the science/physics behind that?
Noise cancelling circuits only cancel targeted frequency ranges.
Wind noise is random frequencies, therefore it can’t counter it.
You can put a foam cover over the mic, it might help some.
