You need to "attach" your cell phone. You need to download a program on the mobile phone that allows you to attach. Google directions to your make and model to find and follow in your manual or online how to download it. Once you have it on your phone, it will simply turn your phone into a hotspot Wi-Fi when you run the program. Just turn on the program do it, and then connect from your laptop as if it were another source wi-fi.
