How come while driving hands-free Bluetooth is legal, but isn't cell phone?
I mean what is the difference, anyway speak on the phone .. so u might as well, he has the ear …. ur and if your answer is that u have ur hands free, u can use the technique of the shoulder ….
Because polititians are stupid and often create extremely rare reflex laws or "possible" problems in areas where they have no expertise. Your question is a perfect example of that. The answer is that driving with hands-free is probably more dangerous than holding a phone. Look we all see people who talk while driving and seem like they do not pay attention to it. It bad. However, if you hold the phone and the traffic is busy or something happens, you can immediately stop the conversation by saying "Remember" while turning the phone and face a busy intersection, taking a walk, etc. However, with hands-free you run the risk of the person to you are talking blabbering, wondering what is going on and distract you. The argument that if you hold the phone, you only have one hand on the wheel is ridiculous. Most people drive with one hand at least part time. BTW, take the phone, as you suggest is probably not a good idea because you will not be able to turn your head as much attention to blind spots, etc., without being distracted by concerns about dropping the phone, etc. Good question.
