What factors decide the cost of dental implants-?
The cost of dental implants is decided by the following factors.
1. The manufacturing or make of implants –If the implants are manufactured by internationally renowned companies from GERMANY, U.S or SWISS, they cost more. That is simply because these implants adhere to the international safety standards and are approved by CE and FDI. On the other hand if the implants are manufactured in INDIA they cost lesser. The patient can finally take a call on which make of implants to be used.
2. The expertise of the implant surgeon- Implant placement is a very sensitive procedure which calls for careful diagnosis, accurate treatment planning and precise execution of the surgical and prosthetic phases .Implant surgeon who has undergone extensive training and has enough experience in handling difficult cases is needed to make the entire procedure safe and successful for the patient.
3. Infrastructure of the surgery- Implant surgical procedure requires state of the art facility and advanced equipment to make the entire procedure safe for the patient. It is not a routine dental procedure like fillings or cleaning. THE REQUIREMENTS FOR ENQUIREY ABOUT DENTAL IMPLANTS. If you want to enquire about dental implants please provide the following information along with your enquiry.
1. Age and gender of the patient.
2. The location of the missing tooth or teeth (for example upper left back tooth.)
3. When was the tooth/teeth removed.
4. Medical history- presence of any medical condition like diabetes, blood disorders, cardiac history and any medication you are currently taking. 5. An IOPA x-ray of the tooth in question or the missing tooth region or an OPG (STANDARD PANORAMIC VIEW) of the jaws or a CT SCAN (DENTA SCAN) of the jaws to assess the bone. The CT SCAN and digital version of the IOPA x-ray or OPG can be directly forwarded to the e mail. If it is analogue version the X-rays can be kept against the light and a photograph can be taken and sent by e mail.
