I have this computer and there is no way around this microphone integrated. Use a USB headset. That's what I do and works well.

Not worth the price
1. This configuration laptop is not worth the price.

Great phone - Value for money
Its been almost 3 months since I plug this laptop and this laptop is working well and it exceeded my expectations. I was Planning to buy a new laptop for months and finally I settled for it. Admittedly, this Laptop worth money and I definitely suggest this laptop computer for basic media …
Advantages-
1) The computer Portable speakers are impressive. The music is very clear.
2) The HD screen is a plus side.
3) Battery is nearly 4 hours.
4) This notebook comes with Windows, and Windows Centre 7 7 Media is simply superb.
Cons-
1) The fan makes some noise when software or antivirus updates from HP or Windows takes place on the laptop. For the money and the Intel Core Duo T4400 is expected.

Nice solid laptop
After 5 months of daily use, this seems like a good product. I'd be more enthusiastic if I had not been burned shortly after the end warranty other laptops (including Toshiba). Everything works. The fit and finish are excellent. I can not talk about issues other microphone have mentioned that I use a USB headset (recommended). The display is good. The speakers are weak. HP software support is sometimes embarrassing. What matter. This is a business laptop. It is light enough. It works. The price ($ 550) was reasonable. If she continues to work for two years, I am satisfied.
UPDATE: I'm still working a lot. BTW, the internal microphone is perfectly fine, although the sound quality for VoIP calls is much better with a USB headset. I bought 2 more of these laptops for my company.
