HTC Surround Review
Design:
Surround ensures that this is a smart phone HTC with its construction high quality and look appropriate. The phone measures 4.7 inches long, 2.4 inches wide and is 0.5 inches thick. The phone weighs about 5.82 oz which is nearly two ounces more than the Focus Samsung. The phone is very heavy, but we have the advantage of having a solid feel to the hand. Its high-end design is also enhanced with the soft touch finish in the corners.
It is understood the weight increase due built in the Yamaha speakers behind the screen and can be revealed on pushing the screen to the left. Use the stand at the bottom, you can actually the proposal of the device when watching videos. To enable SRS WOW HD and Dolby Mobile, you must press the small button on the side of the enclosure. You will feel a big difference in sound quality once you turn them on, which means that the quality Audio is richer when they are on. We are not saying that the sound will blow you, but is much better than most speakers that are around. We were hoping for a better quality when using the speakerphone during calls, but nothing like that. We do not think he will be a selling point for the phone.
Upfront is the 3.8 inch screen with a resolution of 480x800p. It is a capacitive touchscreen, but it is not that vibrant and colorful as in Samsung Focus which has a AMOLED Super. Just below the display are Start, back button and touch sensitive research just like in Focus on Samsung. The volume rocker and camera button are present on the right side of the phone while the 3.5mm headphone jack and power button are present at the summit. The camera lens and flash are present at the rear.
Out of the box you buy a USB cable, AC adapter, stereo headset (wired) and a reference material.

The interface remains the same Focus in Samsung, and therefore, we suggest you take a look.
Multimedia:
Surround features a camera 5 MP with flash support. The camera is capable of recording HD video. The phone has all the basic editing options including effects, scene modes, flicker adjustment, etc. The editing options are less than in the Focus Samsung. You can choose a picture to be sent by email, mail, etc. Facebook or download on SkyDrive, an online storage system for Windows. The hub image will not only show pictures taken with the camera, but also display photos on your computer and your Facebook account. You can view images classified as date, etc. You favorites do not get a slideshow option and you need to go if you want the photo is down the path of memory.
Apps role important in today's smartphones so it is a big question mark with the phone Windows 7. We do not have a picture clear whether Microsoft will be able to compete with the Android platform and others but overall it gives a satisfactory appearance. Microsoft promises that the less 1000 applications will be on the market before the phone is released. For now there are about 450 applications available, including Weather Channel, Amazon Kindle, the social networking applications such as Seesmic, Facebook, Twitter, etc.
HTC Surround comes however with some services such as AT & T AT & T Radio, AT & T Navigator etc. AT & T will offer a package of free entertainment for a limited period. The entertainment package includes a 30 day trial of Mobile U-Verse, which normally costs $ 9.99 per month. It will also include a 30 day pass Zune.
Performance:
Quality calls is good as always with the AT & T, but this will depend on various factors. There were some allusions background noise at times, but can be forgiven. Despite including a surround sound speaker system, speaker quality is still not acceptable. Using a Bluetooth headset would be a better option. The Motorola S9 and Logitech Mobile Traveller is always a better choice.
The HTC Surround works on a 1 GHz processor, 512 MB RAM ROM/449. Capacity Storage is limited to 16 GB of internal memory, no expansion slot. There is some slight lag when switching between applications. HTC Surround has a battery life of 4 hours talk time and 11 days standby with 1,
