I plugged my Bluetooth USB and it caught fire?
I ordered a Jabra BT500 OEM USB cord to plug into my Blue Ant Z9i. When I plugged it into my ant blue devil thing lit yellow, and then I felt like a fire. Its been 2 days and still the bluetooth used to work and the smell of fire burned discusting? Any reasons as to why this might happen?
You are worse try to use it ????????? You're lucky he did not fry your computer. I would be surprised if you have ANY USB function left. USB ports are like the extension cords and plugs into the wall. There are one or two ports (depending on the internal hardware to the computer) which are the "main" usb ports. The others are like extension cords. Put too many on the major ports, and you end up with not enough juice to run anything. This is the reason for which there is a "remove hardware" available. They include electric power, and if it is too much (usually due to a fault in the circuit, but there can be other reasons), then it will fry everything you put into the port. Your helmet showed a light yellow to indicate that it was getting too much power. Whether the cable is defective, the port is faulty, or both, your helmet is too much juice, and it is almost certainly literally cooked. Send the cable back and get your money and I guess you will need to replace your helmet. If you have a Another way to load, you can try, but I would not have my hopes up, if I were you.
