Bluetooth is a wireless communication method.
If you have a phone and you want to connect it to anything else – such as a car kit, an ear piece, or PDA – it allows a radio, communication wirelessly between two devices without needing any hardware or leakage son to join the two things together.
For example, a Bluetooth headset lets you move freely while you're on a call.
Bluetooth communication is better than IR, because IR is based on the "line of sight and is less reliable. With the two Bluetooth devices can be 5 meters and still communicate perfectly without physical connection.
Embedded Systems are very good, because they include a microphone and speaker installed discreetly powered by the car battery. With most makes the handsfree Bluetooth automatically turns on to your car when you make or receive a call. Many people find a Bluetooth headset beneficial because it is easy to use, without installation and without leakage son.
Many people use them as they are walking and the phone can stay in the pocket or briefcase when not using it.
There is a minor inconvenience with a Bluetooth headset, though. It must have its own internal battery which, because it must be however small, must be regularly recharged.
With Bluetooth, you can use your laptop while your phone is in your pocket and you're on e-mails on the Internet or reading. If a call comes in, you can still answer your phone even if you are in the middle of a data session. The meeting is simply suspended until you complete the voice call.
