Xbox 360 Repair – Do It Yourself

Xbox 360 repair is really not difficult if you take your time and follow some repair instructions. The basic tools and some skill is required.

Are you one of the many unfortunate XBOXers receiving the dreaded XBOX "Red Ring of Death "error?

Firstly if your Xbox is still under warranty return it to the shop for repair, do not open it because it will void your warranty. If no longer under warranty, then go ahead and fix it yourself.

About 6% of Xbox 360 consoles that receive this error can not be repaired. This means that you have a very good chance of saving your Xbox 360! Repairs may take a few items from your local Radio Shack or hardware store. Chances are you already have these elements.

On learning how to repair your XBox will save you a bit of money. Microsoft will not tell you how to correct these errors. They'll ask you to send your system in for repair. The cost typical for a repair may be less than $ 140 plus shipping and handling. More – they do not always guarantee a solution!

This guide will show you how to easily fix the 3 Red Light Error. I'll also cover over heating consoles, graphic errors, freeze ups and. the step by step guide Repair is easy to understand, and you have service in about an hour.

I have personally repaired 17 Xbox 360 with this guide, with a rate 100% success. It includes easy to follow instructions, including photos of each step of what is needed. I'm repairing them for friends and now the word is out and I make a little money decent repair Xbox.

Here's how you open your Xbox

First you will need to open your xbox without cracking the cover. The thing to remember is when you're not mistaken, it appears just outside, not force or you will be very disappointed by results

First remove the cover. If you skip this step and go on to remove the top and bottom plates, you find they can be removed but you greatly increase the difficulty and the chances of breaking the legs just below the top and bottom plates. The best way to remove the front is to use the finger hole at the bottom of the console and simply pull forward.

Starting at the bottom gray vent plate, six tabs that hold it in place. You will find that all of them are accessible from the sides through the vent holes. Pull gently on the plate and simultaneously release the clips by pushing with the opening tool or other tool that fits through the hole.

Start at the front of the case and work your way back alternating sides so each pair of legs are released. Keep a slight pressure to pull up and away you go.

The top plate offers a bit more of a challenge 3 of the six tabs are not in order, first two front, one can access it from two corresponding holes, where the disc tray connects. The opening tool has a cutout for it fits just to reach the two clips. The next two are visible through the vents and easily accessible. The final tab can be released removing one of the Xbox feet at the rear to reveal a hole.

With the top and bottom ventilation hoods throw us the Xbox backwards. This makes the process much easier than the chassis is screwed up. With the bottom shell, pointing to the sky, we see these innocent looking 7 little holes.

Continue to spread the case apart and push the area of ??the fireplace, there are a couple more spots where the event logs, but they are no clips and does not require the tool. When you press nothing too impressive will happen but you may notice that the case spreads slightly more outside.

You should hear a series of clicks more click and the case is free. Extending back from a few centimeters must be able to rest open while you spin it around to work on the front.

Lift the lid and you should now have the cover.

I'll add more this series later, but eventually you will need the complete guide to repair Xbox 360. A repair will more than cover the cost of the manual. This guide is easier to follow.
