Ringtones are one of the most popular items on the market without wire today. This is not thirsty teenagers for ringtones of their favorite artists. Having a custom ringtone on a cell phone is a small path apart from the rest of the world. But how to get ringtones on a cell phone at all? Every phone is different and if you think you know them all, you're probably wrong. This guide will give you all the steps necessary to install a new ringtone to a Motorola Q (Moto Q) cell phone.
How to install a new ringtone on a Motorola Q Cell phone?
To install a new ringtone on a Motorola Q, you must follow these steps. For this tutorial we assume you already have a new ringtone file download to your computer. Login Moto Q to your PC or laptop via a USB cable or Bluetooth wireless connection and open ActiveSync if it does not start automatically.
In the ActiveSync application follow these steps:
* Click the Browse button
* Double-click the device icon. (My Windows Mobile)
* Open the Application Data folder
* Open the Sounds folder
* Drag the new ringtone from where you saved it on your computer down in the sounds folder in ActiveSync
* Now disconnect your Motorola Q from your computer
Now go to your activity Motorola Q. Now you will tell your mobile phone use this new ringtone you just copied over. To do this, follow these steps:
* Press Start (left softkey)
* Scroll down and select the Settings icon
* Continue to scroll and select the Sounds icon
* Select the ringtone, and press the navigation key right or left to scroll to the desired ring.
* Press Done once you have selected the new ringtone of your choice.
Done. You just installed a new custom ringtone on your Motorola Q.
