Another program off my internal speaker, how can I turn it on?
I have a new PC running Windows XP Pro. I installed the Palm software for contacts outside of my old Treo, and when it has finished installing, the internal speaker does not work! I do not speak speaker * beep *, I mean the internal speaker that I use to listen to MP3, Skype, playing games, etc. I can hear the sound when I plug headphones into the jack on the front. I do not want to buy speakers … I just want the internal speaker to work as it used to. Of Suggestions? THANK YOU!
Sounds like a driver issue. Try downloading the latest drivers card or just reinstall your current. It seems that Palm has dodgey summat. I would like to install new drivers see what happens. While it is still messed up, I suggest your search options sound and ensure that Palm has not yet decided to award the car to act as your speakers … Right click on the speaker in the corner bottom right of your screen (I can not remember exactly so that you may have to improvise I'm currently on Vista). Go to properties and make sure everything is unchecked and nothing is muted. Also make sure your sound card is selected rather than a piece of software palm). If it does not work uninstall your Palm and see what happens. If this still does not work and you have nothing else to do format but this only as a last resort. This almost garenteed to fix your sound, but it's a pain in the ass. Hope this helped =) Good luck
