How can I use Bluetooth on a Mini Cooper?
I bought a 2006 mini cooper and it has a phone icon on the wheel. No information in the book. Is is for Bluetooth and how do I access it?
MINI Cooper 2004-2006 all had the steering wheel buttons or plain with the multi-function stereo with it cruise control. Even tho you have the buttons on the phone there is little on the left side, you do not Bluetooth. However, there is an implementation of MINI that you can install to make this work buttons. It's roughly about $ 800. There is a cheaper version The Mini Bluetooth and it is installed to the left of the power button on your stereo on this pillar of money. This unit is just under $ 300 or more. There are some other options, of course. You can simply get a head a few sets of your Bluetooth electronics store or buy a new stereo head as Sony, JVC, Aplin, etc.. these companys all have head units that have bluetooth. So you can listen to your music and the music will fade when you receive a call. I have mine from www.crutchfield.com.
