The key to blocking text and mobile phone devices Blocker
With the growing attention that legislators and the general public are devoted to the concerns distracted driving, we saw the emergence of the mobile phone market blocker. These cellular telephones blocks are designed to block cell phone use while driving. There are many different designs on the market today which leads to the following question: "The cell phone blocking devices really work?"
There are a couple of different models on the market right now. Consider the pros and cons and see which ones really work. GPS cell phone blockers are by far the most typical of this new market. They are not a bad idea, and they tend to be cheaper, but they have some imperfections. Essentially, they work by keeping your GPS and the GPS watch if you are traveling at a speed exceeding a specific threshold (such as increasing a person can do jogging) it prevent you from dialing a number or sending SMS from your phone. It's pretty effective, but can sometimes be impossible. For example, if you're in the driver's seat or the passenger seat, the software will not be able to make a difference. So if you are a passenger and want talk on the phone, you're out of luck. Something to think about is that this method of text block may experience problems if the weather is particularly bad or if you're in an area where satellite signals are difficult to send or receive (as a tunnel or underpass).
The Bluetooth method seems to be much more convenient. The only one I saw using this method is safe driving systems. Safe Driving Systems uses a patented technology by the University of Utah to connect cell phones to the vehicle's OBD port. Their device, called two key road safety, uses a blue tooth dongle that connects directly to the OBD port of the car. The dongle sends a signal to the phone, letting them know if the car is moving or not. If the car is running and moving the dongle will alert the phone for "Driving Safe Mode, which locks the keyboard and text notifications calls. Your text will go directly to your inbox and your calls go straight to voicemail. Then, once the car stops, the phone to alert you have messages. This method avoids the problems that GPS methods suffer and it also allows you to set up custom rules so that you can always talk when you do not drive. Another feature of 2 Key Driving safe is that you can make calls 911 and 2 other pre-programmed numbers if you need. I have not seen this very often with GPS-based cell blocker phone. Finally, the Bluetooth dongle to your phone to keep its forces Bluetooth, so you can not "cheat" by clearing your Bluetooth. Also, if you unplug the key, or try disabling the Bluetooth or the software, it will send a text to the administrator of the device (usually a boss or a parent) to let them know that the device has been tampered with. It seems the evidence rather crazy and a lot more convenient than GPS devices blocker text.
