Is driving while talking on a wireless device safer than driving while talking on a cell phone hand held?
In many places around the world, the use of hand-held cell phones while driving was banned, but wireless devices such as Bluetooth is a generally recognized safe cell communication and are therefore permitted. So is talking on a driving wireless device safer than driving while talking on a hand-held cell phone?
Relatively, yes. A handheld device requires the use of hands … less control over the vehicle. But talking on the phone, wireless and handheld, is very dangerous, regardless of whether it is legal or not. You are distracted from the road, and your responses to the risks will be less effective.
