how to use the dial-up modem as audio output?
hey i recently bought two Plantronics headset that has cat3 telephone jack. I thought I hope that someone a program I can connect the modem to the computer to the headphones and listen to music wirelessly home, I'm not sure if the quality is good, but worth trying because the 2.4 GHz is really good with long distance on the same note. Is it possible integrate this headset for my dial-up modem and use it in Skype? Thus, in a nutshell. 1.for play music on winamp and it flows ex the dial-up modem. 2. Is it possible to connect a phone headset such as Plantronics and allow the computer to talk on Skype.
Doing this through the modem, you should have a cable modem voice that is hosting voicemail. It's more work than you need. What you really want to do is find a Cat3 Keystone jack you can plug the headphones on. Then find a 3.5mm stereo jack you can cut open. You'll need to play to find out which son is negative and which are for left and right speakers. Once you find the 2 son are left and right speakers, tie them together. No stereo headset Plantronics. Then plug the cord stereo sound card in your computer. Then Plantronics in your decision Cat3. Then, the experiment with a different combination of connection (you have to find 2 outta 4 connections) until you hear the sound. Otherwise, to use voice modem, you'll need to convert a RJ11 Cat3 and taken only in the modem. But you'll need to write a Windows application that can read MP3 files on the device for voice modem. You'll need to learn the API TAPI for it. Do not worry, the quality Sound is horrible. Otherwise, go to the dollar store and buy an FM transmitter so you can broadcast audio from your PC to your radio. Then, just Contact your Cat3 jack on the stereo and p
